10 Low Point Weight Watchers Freestyle Snacks
September 30, 2018
The truth is- it gets easier and if you make sure you are prepared, you can still enjoy snacks. We keep our fridge + pantry stocked with these snacks. It's so important to keep low point snacks on hand, because non-low point snacking can put you into a point predicament.

2. Babybel Light Cheese/ 1 point each
3. Dill Pickles / 0 points
5. Premiere Protein Shake / 2 points each- These come in a lot of flavors and my favorite is vanilla. We just discovered the Muscle Milk 100 calorie Non-Dairy Vanilla Creme Shakes and they are actually only 1 point and tastes really similar to the Premiere Protein ones! But we will buy whichever one is available at the store when we are there.
6. Boiled Eggs / 0 points
7. Pretzels / Rold Gold regular twists are 3 points for 18 pretzels. When you need something crunchy + salty this is great to have.
8. Air-popped Popcorn / 1 point per cup- This is Savannah's favorite snack and I always end up eating some of hers. While this isn't the most filling snack sometimes you just need popcorn. The easiest way to make it is to use an air-pop machine because you don't have to use an oil at all. You can just top the popcorn with salt.
9. Greek Yogurt / 0 points- Mix this with a little vanilla, no calorie sweetener (I prefer Truvia), and fresh fruit. There's also something called Agave Five which is only 5 calories and 0 points if you only use a tsp.
Do you have any favorite low point snacks? Do you have a favorite snack that you wish was a little more point friendly? Maybe we could make a low point friendly version one day! Let us know in the comments.

2. Brown the ground beef over medium-high heat.
3. Drain the fat off the beef, if necessary, and add the beef back to the pan.
4. Add both seasoning packets and mix together.
5. Add all beans, the corn, and the chicken broth.
6. Bring to a boil and then lower to simmer for about 30 minutes
This soup comes to 1 WW Freestyle point per cup!
We like to add a little cheese, Fritos, and greek yogurt, but you can totally eat it without those extra toppings. Those extra toppings except the yogurt do add points, but that crunch of the Fritos is worth it to me. Plus you are only using 1-2 points for the actual soup, so even with Fritos you are looking at a low point dinner.

I came up with this recipe out of pure desperation. I was starving. I didn't have any points left for the day. We needed groceries. Sometimes desperate situations lead to the best ideas. We had canned corn, black beans, salsa, and greek yogurt. Somehow my brain thought to put those things together. Thank you, brain.

I eat this nearly every day. Fun fact about me: I don't need a lot of food variety in my life. I could eat the same exact thing every day for six months before ever tiring of it. Savannah can barely tolerate left overs. Regardless of how often you'll make + eat this recipe, it is one to keep in your mind.
Mexican Black Bean and Corn Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
1 can black beans, drained + rinsed
1 can corn, drained
1/2 c salsa (no sugar added)
2 T non-fat Greek yogurt
Salt
Directions:
1. Pour the beans + corn into a bowl.
2. Then add salt and mix it well.
3. Add salsa + greek yogurt. Mix.
4. Serve immediately or store in an air-tight container for up to 4 days.
I like to eat this cold but you could eat it hot. I would just heat all the ingredients except the greek yogurt, and add that last.
You can add chicken to this as well. You could add this with rice + chicken in a tortilla. You could put it on lettuce. I have used this in a million different ways. But I mostly eat it just as it is as a snack or a side to a meal. It's great when you are hungry and don't have any points left or don't want to use points. Or just because you love it!
